Land Reclamation

The restoration of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site in Kazakhstan is a large-scale project aimed at bringing the areas formerly occupied by the test site back to life.

The goal of the project is to turn these lands into fertile agricultural lands where various crops can be grown. The first stage of the project is deep cleaning of the soil and groundwater using modern technologies, including biotechnology. After this, agrotechnical, biological and phytomeliorative measures will be carried out to help create a safe environment for growing crops. After the restoration process is completed, it is planned to sow grain, build a year-round greenhouse complex and create livestock and poultry farms. This will significantly increase agricultural production in the region.
